Solusi Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG dan Intel 4965AGN pada Ubuntu Hardy

Kemaren sore temen saya baru saja install ubuntu di laptop Acer Aspire 4920,ketika hendak konek ke wireles network eh ternyata tidak bisa.Mengapa demikian? Setelah coba dicek hasilnya seperti berikut :

Ternyata interface wirelessnya Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 3945ABG, tapi yang menjadi masalah mengapa tidak bisa langsung konek wirelessnya. Setelah baca di ubuntuforum.org akhirnya saya menemukan solusi buat permasalahan ini.cara ini juga dapat mengatasi permasalahan pada interface wireless Intel 4965AGN.

Untuk mengatasi hal ini, pertama buka System-->Administration-->Software Sources.Sekarang masuk ke tab Updates dan centang pilihan Unsupported updates (hardy-backports).



kemudian close dan pilih reload. Setelah selesai buka System-->Administration-->Synaptic Package Manager, pilih search linux-backports-modules-hardy-generic dan klik mark for installation dan Applay.



atau buka terminal ketik
---------------------------------------------------------------------
$sudo apt-get install linux-backports-modules-hardy-generic
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Terakhir reboot komputer dan sekarang interface wireless anda sudah bekerja dengan baik.
